CSA Subscriptions are SOLD OUT for the 2024 season.

At the heart of this little farm is community. It truly brings us joy to grow quality nutrient dense vegetables for our community. By purchasing a share of harvest, that is, being part of our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) you benefit from full transparency, freshness and a direct relationship with the farmer who grows your food.

A CSA or Community Supported Agriculture offers transparency
in a direct farmer to consumer relationship.

How it works.

Early in the year we are planning and making investments for the season ahead and subscriptions become available for purchase. A subscription is comparable to a membership or share. Subscriptions become available for purchase quite early in the year to give us an idea of how much to grow and it is beneficial to us to focus on marketing earlier in the year to free up our time and resources come planting time!

Members sign up to receive seasonal vegetable boxes throughout the growing season. The vegetable boxes are packed with a wide variety of veggies harvested for peak flavour in their peak season throughout the summer.

This is a mutually beneficial arrangement between the farmer and members.

The risk is shared between the farmer & members as there are environmental factors beyond our control. In a typical season it’s generally not perfect weather for all varieties of vegetables, however, many times there are varieties that thrive and have a “bumper” year! It is good to know and partner with a farmer to reap those rewards!

Taste the difference.

Vegetable boxes average 6-8 seasonal items per box. Your veggies come in a standard sized plastic milk crate. The amount of vegetables in your box is expected to increase as the summer progresses. You'll see any combination of seasonal vegetables picked hours before going in your box, selected for peak flavour. You'll taste the difference between garden fresh vs. well travelled green-picked veggies from a grocery store.

Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT FOR A CSA PICK UP?

We understand you will likely be away at some point for a CSA pick up. This gives you a great opportunity to share the fresh abundance with a neighbour or friend. Please send somebody in your place to pick up your share of the week or get in touch with Heather about picking up a different day. If you’d like to double up some weeks please contact Heather directly to see if that is possible.

DO YOU OFFER FLEXIBLE PAYMENTS?

We do our very best to keep our CSA affordable yet remain profitable. You'll find that our prices are comparable to what you'd spend on produce at the grocery store however superior in taste, freshness and nutrition. We do offer a flexible payment option to ease the lump sum up-front cost. You have the option to pay half the total cost at your initial sign up and pay the second half by June 1st.

WHAT IS THIS VEGGIE IN MY BOX !?

We like diversity and grow a wide array of items. We will certainly do our best to provide you with the well-loved classics but we think part of the fun and benefit to joining a CSA includes trying some new veggies too. Your email address will be added to the CSA email list when you sign up. This will keep you up to date on everything that is happening, provide you with a list of what is in your box, explain some uncommon veggies and include a recipe that will use one or more items from each box.
